Intersegmental Traction

This therapy is administered using a specifically designed table to gently facilitate joint motion to vertebral segments throughout the spine. The patient lies in the supine (face up) position on the table and the clinician increases the pressure or intensity within the patient’s tolerance. A roller gently glides from the base of the spine over the sacrum to the base of the skull at the top of the neck. This treatment is effective in relaxing the muscles of the spine and increase joint motion to individual segments of the spine.
